The purpose of Optima Energy Shipping is to acquire and operate a fleet of oil and chemical carriers for use by Optima Energy’s various trading arms and third parties.
The investment in shipping adds value to trading activities, as well as giving greater autonomy and flexibility. The integration of the trading and shipping activities enhances the efficiency of operations and adds competitive advantage, which in turn makes the products and services offered by Optima Energy more competitive.
Optima Energy Shipping acts as an independent profit centre, which engages in a variety of commercial joint ventures with other affiliated shipping companies. The technical management of the fleet is conducted by a professional, highly accredited ship management company based in Piraeus, Greece, which is also affiliated to the Group.
Our shipping adheres to a high quality Safety Management System designed to meet stringent safety, occupational health & environmental protection standards (ISO 9001, ISO 14001, OHSA 18001, and TMSA II). The fleet is maintained to the highest industry standards and is regularly inspected and approved by various major oil companies.
